Living Imprint

This project presents the life stories of 10 individuals who survived the Holocaust in Lithuania, where ninety-five percent of the 240,000-strong pre-war Jewish population was annihilated. Three artists were commissioned to make memory cupboards to represent the survivors. The exhibition explores the point of intersection where the personal and the collective collide. The exhibit will premiere in September 2009 in Vilnius, Lithuania, then travel to South Africa and end in London, England in the summer of 2010.
